- Hello all ! I've recently received a 14.4 data/fax modem, and I'm not sur
- what it's features really are. The advertising on the box mentions RPI
- when used with compatible software. The manifest states that V.42, V.42bis
- and MNP2-5 are hardware based. The atI3 command gives me:
- "V2.200-ACF/ATF_DP Rockwell RPI(tm) Modem+01". There are no brand names
- or phone help numbers. So far I've had no problems with connections or
- transfers. I understand protocols, modem operations, etc. I'm just not
- familiar with under the hood stuff yet. In a nutshell, are the features
- hardware or software based, or both ? Thanks for any replies.
